Part 1. The KW ELT mobile app (self-study)

By installing or using the KW ELT app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What the app is

A self-study English course: short lessons, word practice and video explanations by the teacher, Katrine Wyld. The app does not include live classes, homework checking or contact with a teacher. We do not promise a particular result or exam score.

Licence

We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to use the app and its content. Lessons, texts, audio, pictures and video may not be copied, resold, published or used to train other products.

Free part and KW ELT Pro

Part of the course is free. KW ELT Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that opens the remaining levels and removes limits on explanations, video and your own words. The exact contents, periods and prices are shown in the app before you buy.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID (or Google account) when you confirm the purchase.
If a free trial is offered, it turns into a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel before that.
The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You manage and cancel the subscription in your App Store (or Google Play) account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
Refunds are handled by the store under its rules.
If we change the price, the store will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent.

Stars and badges

Stars and badges are earned in the app by studying. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, exchanged for money or transferred, and may be spent only on features inside the app. We may change how they are earned and spent.

Voices and video

Part of the audio in the app is computer-generated, including a synthetic voice modelled on the teacher’s voice and used with her permission. Video clips show the teacher herself.

Availability and changes

We may update the course, add or remove lessons and features, and change these terms. The app is provided “as is”; to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses from using it. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

App Store terms

For the iPhone version, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

Part 2. The kw-elt.com learning platform (live classes)

By creating an account on kw-elt.com or in the KW-ELT apps you agree to these terms.

The service

KW ELT provides live English classes with a teacher plus a learning platform (lessons, homework, practice). Lesson content is for your personal study only and may not be copied, resold or redistributed.

Accounts

Keep your login and password private. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts for children under 18 are created and managed with parental consent.

Payments

Plans and lesson packs are agreed with your teacher. Payment terms, rescheduling and refunds are confirmed individually before purchase; you may cancel future billing at any time.

Recordings

Live sessions may be recorded so absent classmates can catch up on what they missed. These recordings are securely shared only within your specific learning group, used for teacher training, or posted inside our community channels.

Acceptable use

Do not disrupt classes, upload malicious content, or attempt to access other students' data. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms; significant changes will be announced on the platform. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

Устанавливая приложение KW ELT или пользуясь им, вы соглашаетесь с этими условиями. Если вы не согласны, пожалуйста, не пользуйтесь приложением.

Что это за приложение

Курс английского для самостоятельных занятий: короткие уроки, тренировка слов и видео-объяснения преподавателя Katrine Wyld. В приложении нет живых занятий, проверки домашних заданий и связи с преподавателем. Мы не обещаем определённого результата или балла на экзамене.

Лицензия

Мы даём вам личную, непередаваемую, некоммерческую лицензию на использование приложения и его материалов. Уроки, тексты, звук, картинки и видео нельзя копировать, перепродавать, публиковать и использовать для обучения других продуктов.

Бесплатная часть и KW ELT Pro

Часть курса бесплатна. KW ELT Pro — необязательная подписка с автоматическим продлением: она открывает остальные уровни и снимает лимиты на объяснения, видео и свои слова. Точный состав, сроки и цены показаны в приложении до покупки.

Оплата списывается с вашего Apple ID (или аккаунта Google) при подтверждении покупки.
Если есть бесплатный пробный период, после его окончания подписка становится платной, если не отменить её заранее.
Подписка продлевается автоматически на тот же срок и по той же цене, если не отменить её минимум за 24 часа до конца текущего периода.
Управлять подпиской и отменить её можно в настройках аккаунта App Store (или Google Play). Удаление приложения подписку не отменяет.
Возвраты оформляет магазин по своим правилам.
Если цена изменится, магазин сообщит об этом заранее и, где требуется, запросит ваше согласие.

Звёзды и бейджи

Звёзды и бейджи зарабатываются занятиями в приложении. Они не имеют денежной стоимости, их нельзя купить, продать, обменять на деньги или передать; тратить их можно только на функции внутри приложения. Мы можем менять правила их начисления и трат.

Голоса и видео

Часть звука в приложении создана компьютером, в том числе синтезированный голос, сделанный по образцу голоса преподавателя и используемый с её разрешения. На видео — сама преподаватель.

Доступность и изменения

Мы можем обновлять курс, добавлять и убирать уроки и функции, менять эти условия. Приложение предоставляется «как есть»; в пределах, допустимых законом, мы не отвечаем за косвенные убытки от его использования. Ваши права потребителя по закону сохраняются.

Условия App Store

Для версии на iPhone дополнительно действует стандартное лицензионное соглашение Apple: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
